Chat #72 – 16 Tips for Entrepreneurs & Business Owners with Blogs
This is talk Number 9 in a series that will become the You are a media company course. This is the second of the 4 that I will speak about the blog and why it’s important. Last chat, we spoke about the history, layout of the blog, why people do and some examples of how you can be effective. This chat, I will focus on the blog and provide some tips and best practices.
Definition of a blog: A blog (shortening of “weblog”) is an online journal or informational website displaying information in the reverse chronological order, with latest posts appearing first. It is a platform where a writer or even a group of writers share their views on an individual subject.

Try to be strategic and understand and be clear about why you are blogging and what value you are bringing (e.g. Improving SEO, Interviewing, journaling, increasing traffic, drive for free offers, authority building)

Have a call to action at the end of each post.
