About Gayan & the History
Elnora Foundation began in 2016 when the founder Gayan Peart had a calling to encourage and support survivors of domestic violence and sex trafficking by giving them tools to invest in their future. Giving survivors the necessary tools to shape and change their future is the main focus of the Elnora Foundation. Ms. Pearts experience in social services is extensive and multifaceted, from serving the Homeless in Washington, DC, advocating for abused and vulnerable children in New England to advocating for survivors of domestic violence in Virginia.
Ms. Peart was formally educated at Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri where she earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree and at Loyola University Chicago School for Social Work where she earned a Master of Social Work degree. In 2016 Ms. Peart received an Honorary Doctorate from Global Oved Dei Seminary and University in recognition of her service to the community and the human services field.
